This nationwide campaign to promote police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie is observed annually on the first Tuesday in August. Millions of Americans across the country have been inspired to participate in National Night Out, which strives to bring people together to cultivate stronger ties and safer communities, create awareness for drug prevention programs, town watch, and more! The city of Ontario will be participating on August 7th, so join a local National Night Out event near you!
New Haven recently hosted a National Night Out and it was a terrific success! Numerous residents participated in this special annual event that promotes police-community partnership across the country. Special guests included Mayor Paul Leon and representatives from Ontario’s police and fire departments. Block Captain Mike Potts also did an amazing job answering questions regarding community safety and other topics. Homeowners mingled with friends and neighbors, plus there was delicious food and plenty of activities for the kids.
